Welcome to Troop 257!

Welcome to the Palos Verdes Packers web site.  Scouts BSA provides boys and young men the opportunity to learn leadership and develop character through outdoor experiences.  Troop 257 is more than 70 years old and has a rich history in backpacking adventures and the full range of Boy Scout activities.  Whether you are new to scouting, currently in scouting, or just considering scouting, and would like to learn more about Boy Scouts and Troop 257, please contact me.

This website is designed to provide the most up-to-date announcements and calendar information; troop policies, procedures, and forms; background information; and useful resource links.  

Attached please find the very useful "Welcome to the PV Packers" document.  While it is focused on prospective and new scouts and parents, it has great information for all.

 We Are Looking For New Scouts and We Invite You to Check Us Out!

If you are currently a Cub Scout we invite you to continue your Scouting career with our Troop.  If you are currently a Boy Scout or new to Scouting, we welcome you, also.

Come visit us at a Troop Meeting which are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at the Neighborhood Church located at 415 Paseo del Mar, Palos Verdes Estates.  The boys can have fun with the Boy Scouts while the parents can meet to learn more about our troop and Scouting.  We emerged from COVID-19 protocols, we are meeting in-person, and masks are optional.

Please also peruse our calendar on this website and you will see all of the events we are involved in including backpacking and community service.
